Rendon out of lineup at Padres

SAN DIEGO - Anthony Rendon is out of the Nationals lineup Saturday night, one day after taking a Carlos Quentin grounder off his right hand. Rendon left the game after the fifth inning. Initial X-rays were negative and manager Matt Williams will surely provide an update before tonight's game against right-hander Andrew Cashner and the Padres. Kevin Frandsen is playing third in Rendon's place with Ryan Zimmerman remaining in left field. Also, Danny Espinosa is in the lineup after being hit by a pitch on the left knee last night. On the mound, right-hander Blake Treinen makes his third major league start and first since May 22. Treinen hasn't pitched at all since throwing two scoreless innings against the Rangers on May 30. Treinen has posted a 1.40 ERA in five big league appearances this season and is 0-2 with a 1.69 ERA in his two starts (two earned runs in 10 2/3 innings).
