Roark takes hill as Nats seek sweep of Rangers (updated)

The Nationals have scored 19 runs in the first two games of their series against the Rangers and send right-hander Tanner Roark to the mound in search of an interleague sweep this afternoon.

But it won't be easy. Texas ace Yu Darvish is 4-2 with a 2.35 ERA and brings so many pitches to the table that it took Nats manager Matt Williams about 30 seconds to list all all of them in a press conference yesterday.

Of course, Roark is pretty solid, too. The 3-3 record and 3.47 ERA may look pretty pedestrian, but he's a career 5-2 with a 1.19 ERA at Nationals Park.

Here are today's lineups:

For the Rangers:

LF Daniel Robertson
SS Elvis Andrus
RF Alex Rios
3B Adrian Beltre
1B Donnie Murphy
CF Leonys Martin
C Chris Gimenez
2B Luis Sardinas
RHP P Yu Darvish

For the Nationals:

CF Denard Span
3B Anthony Rendon
RF Jayson Werth
1B Adam LaRoche
C Wilson Ramos
SS Ian Desmond
LF Nate McLouth
2B Danny Espinosa
RHP Tanner Roark

Update: Michael Choice, originally the Rangers' leadoff hitter today, was scratched with a left shin contusion and replaced by Daniel Robertson.
