Strasburg exits in seventh with 2-0 lead (Nats win 2-1)

We're through three innings of scoreless baseball at Marlins Park.

Nationals starter Stephen Strasburg has looked strong, even though he's battled an inconsistent strike zone by home plate umpire Paul Schrieber. Strasburg has allowed one hit, walked two, struck out three and benefited from a pair of double plays.

The Nats have three singles off right-hander Nathan Eovaldi, who has walked none and fanned three.

Update: Finally, a run ... make that a pair.

Jose Lobaton led off the fifth with a double when left fielder Christian Yelich dove and missed his sinking liner. Nate Schierholtz followed with a run-scoring triple to center for a 1-0 lead.

With one down, Anthony Rendon doubled to left field to make it 2-0.

Update II: Strasburg is done after seven shutout innings. He threw 84 pitches, 55 for strikes, and allowed three hits, walked two and fanned five. Craig Stammen is on to pitch the eighth.

Update III: Rafael Soriano allowed a run in the ninth, but finished off a 2-1 win and a four-game sweep over the Marlins. All four batters who faced Soriano, however, made solid contact to the outfield.

Washington finishes its 11-game road trip with a 9-2 record.
