Brad Bergesen is available in long relief tonight if left-hander Brian Matusz doesn't pitch deep into the game.
The Orioles might be forced to make a roster move tomorrow morning If manager Buck Showalter has to use Bergesen tonight for an extended stretch, or if he has to bring in multiple relievers.
Showalter will try to avoid Jim Johnson and Koji Uehara after they each pitched two innings last night. Jason Berken and Kevin Gregg are available tonight after throwing one inning last night.
Showalter said that the club is trying to get to Monday's off-day without having to adjust its roster, "but we'll see how today goes."
Jake Arrieta will throw a bullpen session tomorrow and remains scheduled to start Wednesday night against the Cardinals at Camden Yards.
Alfredo Simon is still scheduled to pitch tomorrow at Double-A Bowie. The Orioles want his pitch count to stay below 40.
Simon is eligible to come off the disabled list Tuesday. The Orioles could choose to option Bergesen to Triple-A Norfolk so he can reenter the Tides' rotation.
Brian Roberts had two wisdom teeth removed, and he was cleared to resume his conditioning program in Sarasota.
The Orioles have agreed to terms with 11 draft picks: Mike Wright (third); Kyle Simon (fourth); Matt Taylor (fifth); Trent Howard (seventh); Devin Jones (nine); Adam Davis (11th); Mark Blackmar (16th); Dustin Ward (19th); Cameron Edmund (29th); Zachary Fowler (34th) and Jerome Pena (38th). Simon, a right-hander from the University of Arizona, is the most recent pick to reach agreement.
