A closer look at the Orioles' 2015 schedule

BOSTON - Major League Baseball released the 2015 schedule today, which includes the Orioles' season opener April 6 against the Rays at Tropicana Field and their home opener April 10 against the Blue Jays. The first off-day on April 9 separates those two series. The Orioles host the Yankees April 13-15 and make their first visit to Fenway Park from April 17-20. They're in Boston for Patriots Day for the second consecutive season. showalter-close-with-sunglasses.jpgThe Orioles spend a week in New York, playing the Mets from May 5-6 and the Yankees from May 7-10. The Orioles host the Phillies June 15-16 and play in Philadelphia from June 17-18. They visit the Marlins from May 22-24. The Braves come to Camden Yards from July 27-29. The Mets come to Baltimore as part of a home-and-home series from Aug. 18-19. The Orioles will host the Nationals July 10-12 and play in D.C. from Sept. 21-23. The two series aren't back-to-back next year. The Orioles conclude the regular season at home from Oct. 2-4 against the Yankees. As you've noticed, the season starts and ends later than usual. The Orioles will play 18 of 27 games in May at home, their busiest month at Camden Yards. They play 48 of the 88 games prior to the All-Star break (July 13-16) at home.
