Adam Jones said he is feeling better, but not ready to return to lineup

Adam Jones said the soreness in his chest is not yet fully gone and he is not in tonight's starting lineup against the Yankees. "It's not feeling comfortable right now. It's feeling better than it did, but I'd say in another day, hopefully I'll feel better," he said. Jones was out of the lineup for Thursday's win in Minnesota and did not take part in any pregame work, either. "Nothing. I just watched a good game. Today, hopefully, I'll watch another good game," Jones said. Jones went 0-for-9 in the series at Minnesota, but on the year is batting .294 with 23 doubles, 22 homers and 77 RBIs. He said he would not be upset if any of Saturday's games were rained out as it would give him another off day and he would not miss any further games. "That would be perfect, so I wouldn't have to miss a game. You know me, it (stinks) to sit on the sideline, but at the same time I have to listen to my body," Jones said. "My body says your muscle hurts, but it's not just something right in the way of my swing. But I wouldn't want to risk hurting myself." Jones left Tuesday's game in the second inning and was taken to the hospital as a precaution for tests. "Going to the hospital was pointless, they didn't tell me nothing," Jones said. "All they did was just draw blood and rule everything out, other stuff. They didn't tell me what was going on, our trainers did that. It's just a sore muscle. I wouldn't say it's like an oblique (injury), but it's just a muscle that is uncomfortable in my chest."
