A few notes on Jeter and tonight's pitching matchup

NEW YORK - The Orioles will face Derek Jeter for the final time tonight if the weather allows it. Perhaps you've heard.
Jeter has two hits in his last 28 at-bats (.071) against the Orioles dating back to August 11, including an infield single Tuesday night but he's been a nuisance over the years.
For example:
Jeter has recorded the most multi-hit games against the Orioles all-time (105) and scored more runs (205) against them than any other player. His 351 hits against the Orioles trail only Carl Yastrzemski (363) and his 69 doubles are second to Yastrzemski's 83.
Jeter's 290 games played against the Orioles are the third-most all-time, behind Al Kaline (345) and Yastrzemski (343).
Jeter's 184 hits and 99 runs scored at Camden Yards are the most by anyone who hasn't played for the Orioles.
Jeter is 1-for-3 against Kevin Gausman, who starts tonight for the Orioles. Get your cameras ready. And your ponchos.
Gausman will make his 20th start of the season and his ninth on the road, where he's 3-2 with a 3.13 ERA in 46 innings. Gausman is 3-1 with a 1.64 ERA in eight games (two starts) against the Yankees, allowing four earned runs in 22 innings.
In his two starts, Gausman has allowed one earned run in 12 innings for a 0.75 ERA. He tossed seven scoreless innings on Sept. 12 in Baltimore.
Hiroki Kuroda, who takes the mound tonight for the Yankees, is 3-3 with a 2.88 ERA in 10 starts against the Orioles.
Alejandro De Aza is 7-for-18 (.389) with a home run against Kuroda, Adam Jones is 11-for-34 (.324) and Kelly Johnson is 8-for-26 (.308) with a home run.
Nelson Cruz is 3-for-25 (.120), J.J. Hardy is 5-for-32 (.156) with a home run, Steve Pearce is 2-for-12 (.167) and Ryan Flaherty (.067) is 1-for-15.
The Orioles have recorded 15 or more hits in consecutive games in the Bronx for the first time in club history. They've collected 15 or more hits against the Yankees in consecutive games twice at home (May 26-July 3, 1956 and Aug. 24-25, 1962).
The Orioles saw a 6 percent increase in total attendance in 2014, averaging 1,630 more fans per game over 2013 (30,442 average). Their division-clinching win drew a 11.6 rating on MASN, the highest-rated Orioles game on the network since at least 2002 (as far back as records go).
Orioles merchandise sales (through MLB.com/Orioles.com) in September are up +854 percent over the corresponding period last year.
