Checking again on the pitching market

DALLAS - Chicago White Sox general manager Kenny Williams told reporters today that he's not getting suitable offers for his pitchers, so he's inclined to hold onto them at the moment. This news impacts the Orioles, who are looking for pitching - in case you hadn't heard - and might have made a run at Gavin Floyd or John Danks. Of course, Williams could change his stance with one phone call, meeting or elevator ride. I'm just giving you the current update. Also, I heard earlier today that the St. Louis Cardinals were making pitchers Kyle Lohse and Jake Westbrook available, and it's been confirmed by ESPN's Buster Olney and FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal. You can toss those names into the mix. Lohse, 33, is owed $11.875 million next season and has a full no-trade clause. Westbrook would also have to give permission to be traded. The Cardinals, meanwhile, are looking for a left-handed reliever or middle infielder. They certainly would be interested in Robert Andino. Westbrook is viewed as a better fit for the American League East. It's also being reported that the Colorado Rockies are seeking a left-handed reliever. They also want a starting pitcher despite acquiring Kevin Slowey earlier today. The Orioles and Rockies reportedly have been discussing a deal involving closer Huston Street. The Rockies are interested in Jeremy Guthrie, but the Orioles seem hesitant to part with him. In case you're wondering, the Orioles' 40-man roster includes lefty relievers Zach Phillips, Clay Rapada, Troy Patton and non-tender candidate Jo-Jo Reyes. The local media is meeting with executive vice president Dan Duquette at 5 p.m. central time.
