Davis out of Orioles lineup vs. Mariners

Steve Pearce will man first in his place. Miguel Gonzalez, tonight's starter, is 2-2 with a 3.24 ERA in seven home starts this season. He's faced the Mariners once in his career, allowing one earned run in six innings on July 27. Robinson Cano is 2-for-24 lifetime against Gonzalez. Austin Jackson is 3-for-4 with a double and home run. The Mariners activated left-hander James Paxton, 25, from the 60-day disabled list. He's making his seventh major league start tonight, and his first against the Orioles. Paxton is 5-0 with a 1.75 ERA in the majors, with nine walks and 34 strikeouts in 36 innings.
