Orioles top pitching prospect Dylan Bundy retired the side in order in his only inning today for the Peoria Javelinas in the Arizona Fall League.
Bundy needed only seven pitches to dispose of the Mesa Solar Sox. He threw five strikes.
Bundy, 22, induced a fly ball to center field by Chad Hinshaw, struck out Daniel Robinson on four pitches and induced a fly ball to right field by Wilson Contreras. Lucas Sims replaced him in the bottom of the second inning.
Orioles top catching prospect Chance Sisco was behind the plate for Bundy's AFL debut, the right-hander's first game action since May with Double-A Bowie. Sisco doubled in his first at-bat leading off the top of the second inning.
Bundy is scheduled to start again on Friday and make a third start next Monday. Orioles manager Buck Showalter will fly to Arizona to watch Bundy, who's out of minor league options.
Bundy hadn't pitched in six months due to a sore right shoulder.
Also, Orioles minor league left-hander Donnie Hart and outfielder Mike Yastrzemski were chosen to participate in the AFL's "Fall Stars Game" on Nov. 7.
Every major-league organization is offered the chance to be represented by at least one player. Hart and Yastrzemski will play for the West Division.
Update: Bundy's fastball was clocked at 93-94 mph.
Update II: Bundy threw six fastballs. His strikeout came on a slider.
