BOSTON - Former Red Sox catcher Luis Exposito, signed by the Orioles as a minor league free agent, was on the field a few minutes ago. He's been summoned from Triple-A Norfolk, which indicates that a roster move is coming.
Is Nolan Reimold headed to the disabled list?
Exposito is batting .288/.339/.423 with three RBIs in 13 games with the Tides.
Exposito is on the 40-man roster, which makes a move less complicated. Then again, the Orioles can transfer Tsuyoshi Wada to the 60-day disabled list if it becomes an issue.
The Orioles haven't officially added Exposito to the 25-man roster, but we could get an announcement later.
Here's the Red Sox's lineup:
Aviles SS
Middlebrooks 3B
Gonzalez 1B
Pedroia 2B
Ortiz DH
Ross RF
McDonald LF
Byrd CF
Shoppach C
Lester LHP
