Game 134 lineups: Nats vs. Marlins

The Nationals found a way to create a rally with three outs to play and surprised the Marlins 7-6 in the bottom of the ninth thanks to another clutch hit from Anthony Rendon.

Now the Nats go for a series clincher tonight as right-hander Stephen Strasburg looks to set a career-high this season in wins at 16. Strasburg is 15-5 with a 3.63 ERA. He has 201 strikeouts this season. It marks the third time in his career he has fired 200 or more strikeouts in a season, his best was 242 in 2014. He has won at least 15 games in four seasons: 2012, 2016, 2017 and 2019.

Strasburg has won 11 straight games against the Marlins dating back to Sept. 20, 2015. This season he is 3-0 with a 1.61 ERA against the Marlins, striking out 29 in 22 1/3 innings, allowing only four earned runs on 11 hits.

Miami counters with right-hander Pablo López (5-6, 4.41). He has pitched very well in his last seven starts, going 3-1 with a 2.88 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP.

With a win today, the Nats would finish the month of August at 19-7 (.731), which would be their best month of the season. They were 18-8 (.692) in June. They are 11-3 against Miami this season, having won seven in a row and are 7-1 at Nats Park.
