Right-hander Tanner Roark seeks his fourth win in the season as he faces off against the Phillies Friday night. He will be opposed by former Nationals fourth round selection right-hander Nick Pivetta (0-2, 5.40 ERA).

Thursday's game against the Orioles was postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up June 8.

Left fielder Jayson Werth reached base safely in four of five plate appearances Wednesday, culminating in a dramatic ninth-inning solo homer after facing 11 pitches. He has now hit safely in five of his last six games, going 12-for-25 (.480) with two doubles, three homers, four RBIs, two walks and seven runs scored. He has reached base safely in seven straight games.
