Former Orioles shortstop JJ Hardy and outfielder Mike Devereaux have been elected to the club's Hall of Fame.
Long-time radio broadcaster Joe Angel will be inducted as this year's Herb Armstrong Award winner.
The trio will be honored along with the 2020 "Wild Bill Hagy Award" winner, Mo Gaba, during an on-field ceremony prior to the Aug. 7 game against the Rays at Camden Yards.
Hardy spent the last seven seasons of his 13-year career with the Orioles from 2011-17 and won three straight Gold Glove Awards from 2012-14. He ranks third among Orioles shortstops in games played behind Cal Ripken, Jr. and Mark Belanger and led the league in fielding percentage three times.
The Orioles made the playoffs in 2012, 2014 and 2016 with Hardy at shortstop. He hit 107 home runs and drove in 385 runs and was voted the starting shortstop for the American League All-Star team in 2013 - the same year that he won a Silver Slugger Award.
Hardy ranks among the top 25 players in Orioles history in games played (889), hits (854), doubles (168) and home runs. He was acquired from the Twins on Dec. 9, 2010 for minor league pitchers Jim Hoey and Brett Jacobson and immediately became the leader of the infield and one of the most popular players in the clubhouse.
The Orioles invited Hardy to be a spring training instructor in 2019.
Devereaux spent seven of his 12 seasons with the Orioles in 1989-94 and 1996 and later was a minor league coach. The centerfielder was voted Most Valuable Oriole in 1992 after leading the team in 10 offensive categories. He had 94 home runs and 403 RBIs with the Orioles.
Devereaux is one of three Orioles to finish a season with at least 10 doubles, triples and home runs (1991 and 1992), and the only one to do it twice.
The Orioles brought back Devereaux after he was chosen the National League Championship Series Most Valuable Player with the Braves in 1995. He was an occasional starter and defensive replacement at every outfield position on the 1996 playoff team.
Angel had three stints with the Orioles covering 19 seasons before walking away from the broadcast booth following the 2018 season. He spent 42 years in the business, also working for the Giants, Athletics, Twins, Yankees and Marlins, as well as ESPN.
Gaba, the 14-year-old superfan who lost his eyesight and fought four diagnoses of cancer, is the second recipient of "The Wild Bill Hagy Award." He passed away on the night of his election.
Ticket information will be shared at a later date.
