Hardy's never made more than two errors in a game. His only two-error night was back on June 6, 2007 with the Brewers.
The Orioles' other three-error game this season came on April 20 in Boston, - one by Jonathan Schoop, one by David Lough and one by Ryan Flaherty on the since-abolished transfer rule.
Rougned Odor led off the bottom of the seventh inning tonight by reaching on an infield hit and moving to second base on Hardy's errant throw. Shin-Soo Choo grounded out, but Hardy misplayed Elvis Andrus grounder for his third error of the night, allowing the go-ahead run to score.
Preston Guilmet replaced Brian Matusz with two outs and allowed three straight singles. Matusz is charged with two unearned runs. Guilmet is charged with one earned.
Guilmet has been scored upon in his last four outings.
Brach Brach and Ryan Webb combined for five scoreless innings, with only two hits allowed, before Matusz and Guilmet worked the seventh.
Adam Jones homered off Tanner Scheppers leading off the top of the eighth to reduce Texas' lead to 8-6.
The Orioles have scored 29 runs in their last four games and 33 in the last five.
Update: The Orioles four-game winning streak ends tonight with an 8-6 loss to the Rangers before 34,254 at Globe Life Park.
There also were 770 dogs here for Bark in the Park Night. Insert your own joke.
The Orioles go 5-5 on the road trip and are 30-28 on the season.
Time to go home.
