John Vidalin joins Orioles as Chief Operating Officers for Business Operations

The Orioles announced today that John Vidalin will join the organization as Chief Operating Officer for Business Operations. Vidalin will oversee day-to-day operations of the Orioles' business departments, including revenue (ticket sales and corporate partnerships), branding, customer experience, ballpark operations, and event development. Vidalin will officially join the organization in early August.

"John's senior executive experience working for some of the most iconic sports team brands and most-respected organizations across the world's top sports leagues make him the ideal choice to oversee our talented business division in further developing our Orioles and Oriole Park brands in the years to come," said John Angelos, Orioles Executive Vice President.

Most recently, Vidalin served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer for the Miami Heat, with the responsibility of driving the club's local, regional, national, and international business opportunities. Prior to joining the Heat, Vidalin spent over 10 years in the National Football League, most recently as Chief Sales Officer for the San Francisco 49ers, where he served as a key executive in planning the team's development and relocation to the cutting-edge venue, Levi's Stadium.

"I am honored to join an organization that has set the standard in sports venue development," said Vidalin. "Having drawn more than 70 million fans and tourists to Oriole Park, the Orioles annually rank at the very top of our industry in delivering customer experience and family memories to their fans. I am eager to take on this leadership role, to continue and expand upon that fan-first vision, and to further grow the Camden Yards and Orioles brands across the region."

Vidalin has served on the board of directors of Boys & Girls Clubs in Silicon Valley and Houston. He has also served on the board of the San Jose, Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Houston area YMCA.

Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Vidalin is a graduate of communications from Lethbridge College at Lethbridge, Alberta, and holds an MBA from Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia.
