Jones and his bat enjoy the home cooking at the Yard

Adam Jones seems to like the friendly confines of Camden Yards. In 57 home games this year, he is batting .296 with 17 homers, 49 RBIs and an OPS of .928. In 53 road games, he is batting .288 with three homers, 20 RBIs and a .704 OPS. Even though he went hitless on Sunday, Jones is batting .344 with eight multi-hit games over his last 15 games with four doubles, four homers and 13 RBIs. Here is an interesting Jones stat: He leads the majors in batting average with two outs at .363. His 20 homers, by the way, are second most in the big leagues by a centerfielder behind Curtis Granderson's 28. A couple of other notes on tonight's game: * The White Sox are 3-6 since getting to the .500 mark at 52-52. Chicago has won its last five road games and is 14-5 in its last 19 on the road. * Tonight's starter for the Sox, John Danks, is 4-1 with an ERA of 1.69 over his last seven starts. The hot-hitting Jones is just 1-for-18 in his career vs. Danks. * Jeremy Guthrie is 3-5 with an ERA of 4.71 in nine career starts against the Sox with four quality starts. He lost to Chicago on May 2, allowing four runs over seven innings.

Extra, extra: O's trail 4-2
