Matt Wieters ejected from tonight's game (O's win 3-2)

Both teams have objected tonight to the floating strike zone of plate umpire Dan Bellino. However, it was a disputed check swing that brought the game's first ejection.

Matt Wieters was tossed after striking out to end the fifth and strand two runners- raising the Orioles total to eight. Wieters was convinced that he stopped his swing and barked at Bellino while heading back to the dugout, also gesturing with his arm for emphasis.

Before reaching the bench, Wieters did a little tossing of his own by chucking his batting helmet.

The result was the end of a rally and Wieters' second career ejection, as the Orioles continue to trail 2-1. He also was tossed in 2012 during another game against Toronto.

Caleb Joseph replaced Wieters in the top of the sixth.

Manager Buck Showalter ran out of the dugout and unloaded on Bellino, but he stayed in the game. Toward the end of the rant, Showalter had his arms folded while basically reviewing Bellino's night. First base umpire Adam Hamari joined the conversation.

Bellino drew the ire of designated hitter Mark Trumbo after a called third strike with the bases loaded and no outs in the first inning. The pitch was low, not really that close, but Bellino punched him out.

Nolan Reimold yelled at Bellino after a called third strike in the sixth on a pitch that appeared to be low and inside. Two more runners were stranded.

Other players have complained over the course of the game, but Wieters brought it strong and was sent to the clubhouse.

Chris Tillman made it through six innings after throwing 38 pitches in the first. He allowed two runs and four hits, with three walks, four strikeouts, a wild pitch and a hit batter.

Tillman threw 105 pitches, the last striking out Justin Smoak to end the sixth. Only 65 of his pitches were strikes.

Tillman retired 13 of his last 15 batters before Dylan Bundy replaced him.

Chris Davis has walked three times to raise his team-leading total to 14 in 14 games.

Update: J.J. Hardy lifted a sacrifice fly to right-center field in the seventh inning after the Orioles loaded the bases with one out, and we're tied 2-2.

Davis drew his career-high fourth walk, Trumbo was hit by a pitch and Joseph singled to set the table for Hardy.

Dylan Bundy retired the side in order in the top of the seventh and recorded his first major league striking on Kevin Pillar.

Update II: Joey Rickard singled with one out in the eighth, his third hit of the night, moved up on a passed ball and scored on Manny Machado's bloop double to right field to break a 2-2 tie.

Rickard is batting .350.

Update III: Zach Britton slammed the door on the Blue Jays, recording his fourth save in a 3-2 victory.

Darren O'Day gets the win after striking out the side in the eighth. He also walked Jose Bautista on four pitches, though at least one should have been called a strike.

The Orioles are 10-4 heading to Kansas City. They've won four series.
