Millwood saving best for last? (updated twice)

Kevin Millwood made it through the first inning without allowing a run and decided to keep going. Millwood has surrendered only one hit through five scoreless innings, walking one and striking out four. Matt Joyce reached on a two-out error on left fielder Corey Patterson, but Millwood fanned B.J. Upton. What is it about pop ups and shallow fly balls that perplex the Orioles? In his previous start, Millwood gave up six runs and seven hits over five innings at Fenway Park. A week later, it's been an entirely different story. Of course, some things never change. The Orioles haven't scored a run for him. Rays starter Jeff Niemann is working on a two-hit shutout as we head to the bottom of the sixth. Update: The game just changed. Felix Pie's two-out triple in the seventh scored Nick Markakis and Adam Jones. Orioles 2, Rays 0. Pie had an outfield assist earlier in the night. Good thing he started in right field. Update II: Outstanding start by Millwood, who allowed two hits and struck out seven over seven scoreless innings. He left the bases loaded in his final inning by fanning B.J. Upton again.
