Today he gave up two runs in one inning vs. Columbus. In 3 2/3 since joining Norfolk, he has allowed nine hits and seven runs with five walks and strikeouts and a .450 batting average against. Jim Hoey, who pitched for the Orioles in 2006 and 2007, has put together quietly a solid season at Double-A Bowie. Hoey is 0-0, 2.57 after pitching two scoreless tonight. He has fanned 26 batters in 21 innings on the year. Hoey has put together 15 1/3 consecutive shutout frames over nine games since May 9. McCrory, who pitched in seven games with the Orioles last year, underwent labrum surgery on October 2nd. Josh Dowdy picked up another save for Delmarva tonight. He is now 0-1, 1.23 on the year and is ten for ten in save chances. The 23-year-old righty was the O's 38th-round pick last June out of Appalachain State. Right-handed batters are hitting just .135 vs. Dowdy with 20 strikeouts in 52 at bats.
