More Bundy, more game (O's win 6-2)

The Orioles gave high school pitcher Dylan Bundy a five-year major league deal that starts in 2012, which requires the club to place him on the 40-man roster. Baseball America's Jim Callis tweeted that Bundy will receive a guaranteed $6.225 million. However, the $4 million signing bonus included in the deal falls $2 million short of Matt Wieters' club record. One more draft note: The Orioles gave sixth-rounder Nick Delmonico a $1.525 million signing bonus. Meanwhile, the Orioles loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the seventh inning. Robert Andino doubled off Oakland reliever Fautino De Los Santos with one out to give the Orioles a 3-2 lead, and Josh Bell singled to drive in two more runs. Orioles 5, Oakland 2

Andino has his second multi-RBI game of the season, the other coming July 17, when he knocked in four against the Indians. Tommy Hunter held the Athletics to two runs over 6 2/3 innings. He scattered 10 hits, but there's no fine imposed for littering the bases. Michael Gonzalez replaced Hunter with two runners on base and two outs in the bottom of the seventh and retired Hideki Matsui on one pitch. Update: Gonzalez struck out three batters in 1 1/3 scoreless innings. He hasn't allowed a run in nine consecutive appearances and 14 of 15. Mark Reynolds added a big insurance run in the ninth with his 27th home run. He was 1-for-28 since homering into the second deck at Camden Yards. Kevin Gregg, who didn't retire any of the six batters he faced yesterday, allowed a leadoff single in the bottom of the ninth before retiring the next three batters. Final score: Orioles 6, Oakland 2 The Orioles have won back-to-back games for the first time since July 16-17. A victory tomorrow night would produce their first series win since June 24-26.
