The Orioles improved to 10-24 with Wednesday's 5-2 win over Seattle. The O's are the last team in the Majors to get to 10 victories. The O's went 4 for 10 with runners in scoring position and are batting .394 with RISP in their ten wins and .123 with RISP in the 24 losses. O's record when scoring four or more: 8-4 O's record when scoring less than four: 2-20 It was the Orioles first win this year vs. the Mariners and they are now 1-4 in the season series. Runs scored in 2010 vs. Seattle: First four games: 5 Wednesday night: 5 Brad Bergesen won for the third straight start and has an ERA of 2.33 in three starts since returning from Norfolk. Bergesen has allowed just 1 ER over 14 1/3 innings in his last two starts. Bergy before Norfolk: 0-2, 12.19 (14 ER in 10 1/3 IP) Bergy after Norfolk: 3-0, 2.33 (5 ER in 19 1/3 IP) When he allowed a run in the 8th, it snapped a streak of 15 1/3 scoreless innings. Bergesen's outing of 7 2/3 was his longest of the year and longest since going eight innings on July 1, 2009 vs. Boston. In 15 career starts at Camden Yards, Bergesen is 9-2, 3.53. The O's picked up 12 hits in the win after producing just two runs on 18 hits in the previous three games. Jones matched his season with three hits, the fourth time this year he has had that many. Lou Montanez had not played in six straight games. The Mariners have lost nine of 11 and are 4-13 since starting the year 9-7. Seattle is 3-17 when scoring less than four runs and is 4-4 vs. the AL East. This afternoon at 12:35 in the series finale, Kevin Millwood (0-4, 3.26) pitches vs. Felix Hernandez (2-3, 4.30). Millwood is 8-12, 5.05 in 22 career starts vs. the M's. He pitched a complete game but lost on April 21 at Seattle, giving up six hits and four runs. Hernandez pitched a complete-game nine hitter to beat the Orioles in that game on the 21st of April. But since beginning the year 2-0, 2.15, Hernandez is 0-3, 8.59 over his last three starts. He is 5-3, 3.41 in 11 career starts vs. the Orioles and is 4-0, 2.84 in five starts at Camden Yards.
