Nats lineup for Game 1 of Battle of the Beltways (Werth named Player of the Week)

The Orioles are in first place in the American League East. The Nationals are a half-game out of first in the National League East. It's always cool when these two neighbors square off, but it's a heck of a lot more fun when the teams are playing well and are in contention. The Nats will send Stephen Strasburg to the hill, while the O's will go to right-hander Chris Tillman. Manager Matt Williams is going to the same lineup 1-8 that he has for five of the six games that Bryce Harper has been back off the DL. For the Nats CF Denard Span 2B Anthony Rendon RF Jayson Werth 1B Adam LaRoche 3B Ryan Zimmerman LF Bryce Harper SS Ian Desmond C Wilson Ramos RHP Stephen Strasburg For the Orioles RF Nick Markakis 3B Manny Machado CF Adam Jones LF Nelson Cruz 1B Chris Davis SS J.J. Hardy C Nick Hundley 2B Jonathan Schooop RHP Chris Tillman Update: Right fielder Jayson Werth has been named the National League Player of the Week. Werth hit .450 (9-for-20) with five doubles, two home runs, nine RBIs, five walks and seven runs scored. Werth had at least one RBI in five straight games and helped the Nats to a 5-1 record last week. He drove in a game-high three RBIs last Tuesday in the Nats' 7-1 win over the Rockies. This is the third time Werth has won Player of the Week honors, but first as a member of the Nationals.
