Orioles executive vice president Dan Duquette and manager Buck Showalter are sitting on top of the visiting dugout at Camden Yards for the annual season ticket holders' Q&A session.
A young boy asked Duquette about the chances of the club re-signing its top free agents. Duquette said the Orioles should be able to keep some of them, and he made it clear that Chris Davis is a priority.
Showalter said he expects the Athletics to start right-hander Sonny Gray in Monday's series finale at Camden Yards.
Gray was scratched from his last start with back spasms and the A's are listing Monday's spot as TBA. He's 12-4 with a 2.06 ERA in 23 starts.
Chris Tillman's side session went well and he's still scheduled to start Monday night.
Steve Pearce felt some tightness in his oblique today and the Orioles will slow him down. They were hoping that he could start an injury rehab assignment early next week.
Hunter Harvey threw 20 pitches off a half-mound today and had no issues with his right forearm/elbow area.
Mike Wright (calf) threw from 120 feet and will throw off a half-mound on Monday.
Showalter expressed confidence again that Matt Wieters can avoid the disabled list. However, he said that the club will "start looking" at it if Wieters' hamstring hasn't improved by Monday.
Showalter said Henry Urrutia, serving as the designated hitter tonight, will play in the outfield at a later date. Urrutia has been working to improve his defense.
