From 1998 through last season the Orioles never won a season series against the New York Yankees. They tied the season series twice - going 9-9 in 2007 and 2012 - but lost the season series 14 times. This year is quite different, however. The Orioles are 11-4 against the Yankees, going 7-2 at home and 4-2 on the road. The Orioles have been so good against the Yankees this season that they have nearly doubled the New Yorkers on the scoreboard scoring 72 to 37 runs.
