Orioles and Rays lineups to conclude series

Austin Hays is in left field this afternoon as the Orioles close out the series against the Rays and their homestand.

Cedric Mullins is in center and Anthony Santander is in right. Just like the old days.

Jordan Westburg is the third baseman and Adley Rutschman is serving as the designated hitter.

Colton Cowser has posted a 1.009 OPS when batting seventh and a .676 OPS anywhere else in the lineup. He’s out of today’s lineup.

Ryan Mountcastle’s hot bat stays. He’s slashing .459/.500/.757 (17-for-37) with five doubles, two home runs, six RBIs, three walks and eight runs scored in the last 10 games since May 21.

Ryan O’Hearn snapped an 0-for-10 spell yesterday with a single in the fourth inning, but he’s on the bench this afternoon.

Cole Irvin is 5-2 with a 2.84 ERA in 10 games. He has a 2.58 ERA and 1.103 WHIP in his eight starts.

Irvin has made four career appearances against the Rays, including three starts, and allowed nine earned runs (10 total) in 19 1/3 innings.

Yandy Díaz is 3-for-10 against Irvin. Randy Arozarena is 3-for-8 with a double. Brandon Lowe is 2-for-3 with a home run.

Rays right-hander Zack Littell has posted a 3.47 ERA and 1.219 WHIP in 11 starts. He’s walked only 10 batters and surrendered six home runs in 62 1/3 innings.

Littell has made three career appearances against the Orioles, including one start, and allowed two runs in 7 2/3 innings.

Gunnar Henderson is the only current Oriole with a home run off Littell. Hays is 2-for-3. James McCann is 2-for-4 with a double.

Littell is limiting opponents to a .200 AVG and .278 slugging percentage on his cutter this season, compared to a .272 average and .474 slugging last season, per STATS.
