Orioles announce 2018 radio broadcast team

The Orioles have announced their radio broadcast team for the 2018 season, led by longtime Orioles Radio Network broadcaster Joe Angel, who is returning for his 19th year as the "Voice of the Orioles." Angel will be joined by veteran broadcaster Jim Hunter, who will continue to appear on MASN's television broadcasts and begins his 22nd year as a member of the Orioles broadcast team. Providing analysis for select games this season will be Orioles Radio newcomer and former Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts, as well as former Orioles pitcher Ben McDonald, who returns for a third season as an analyst.

Entercom's 105.7 The Fan (WJZ-FM), the flagship station of the Orioles Radio Network, will again broadcast all 162 Orioles regular season games this year, along with 13 Spring Training games.

One of the best second basemen in Orioles history, Roberts spent 13 of his 14 Major League seasons with Baltimore from 2001-13. The two-time All-Star still ranks among the Orioles' all-time leaders in a number of offensive categories, including runs (6th), hits (9th), doubles (4th), triples (6th), extra-base hits (7th), and walks (7th). He served as a guest analyst on MASN in 2016 and has provided analysis on FOX's MLB broadcasts and in studio on MLB Network. He is also a fill-in host on various MLB Network Radio programs. Roberts will make his Orioles Radio Network season debut for the spring opener on February 23 vs. Tampa Bay, and will also broadcast games on February 24 vs. Minnesota and February 28 vs. St. Louis.

The Orioles Radio Network broadcasts across 40 stations in six states and the District of Columbia. Fans can hear extensive coverage of all 162 regular season games, including pre- and postgame shows, as well as select Spring Training contests on the Orioles Radio Network.
