The Orioles today announced that their 2021 home schedule will begin on Thursday, April 8, at Oriole Park against the Boston Red Sox, as part of a seven-game homestand against the Red Sox (three games) and Seattle Mariners (four games). The club will begin the 2021 season on the road against the Red Sox at Fenway Park on Thursday, April 1.
The Orioles will host each American League East divisional opponent for three series throughout the season. The New York Yankees will play 10 games in Baltimore, April 26-29, May 14-16, and September 14-16. The Red Sox will visit Camden Yards for 10 games, April 8-11, May 7-10, and September 28-30. The Orioles will also host the Toronto Blue Jays for nine games, June 18-20, July 6-8, and September 10-12. The Tampa Bay Rays will travel to Baltimore for nine games, May 18-20, August 6-8, and August 27-29.
The 2021 Interleague slate features visits to Baltimore by the New York Mets (June 8-9), Washington Nationals (July 23-25), Miami Marlins (July 27-28), and Atlanta Braves (August 20-22). The Orioles' road schedule against National League opponents will include visits to the Marlins (April 20-21), Mets (May 11-12), Nationals (May 21-23), and Philadelphia Phillies (September 20-22).
The Orioles will be hosting 13 weekend series in 2021, including a three-game weekend set with Washington from July 23-25. The home schedule will also consist of five games played on holidays including Mother's Day (May 9 vs. Boston), Memorial Day (May 31 vs. Minnesota), Juneteenth (June 19 vs. Toronto), Father's Day (June 20 vs. Toronto), and Labor Day (September 6 vs. Kansas City).
The Orioles will play 17 home games in September, their busiest month at Oriole Park. The Orioles have three three-team homestands: an eight-game homestand from May 31-June 9 (Minnesota, Cleveland, New York-NL), a 10-game homestand from September 6-16 (Kansas City, Toronto, New York-AL), and one nine game homestand from August 20-29 (Atlanta, Los Angeles-AL, Tampa Bay).
Baltimore will travel for two 10-game road trips: May 21-30 (Washington, Minnesota, Chicago-AL) and June 24-July 4 (Toronto, Houston, Los Angeles-AL). The Orioles will complete the home portion of their regular season schedule with a seven-game homestand against the Texas Rangers (September 23-26) and Red Sox (September 28-30). The Orioles will finish the regular season on the road with a three-game road trip to Toronto, October 1-3.
