Orioles get 28 pre-arb players under contract (O's win 13-5)

SARASOTA, Fla. - The Orioles announced today that they reached agreements on one-year deals with 28 players who aren't eligible for arbitration. It's that time of the spring.

Here's the list:

Right-handers
Pedro Araujo, Alec Asher, Dylan Bundy, Miguel Castro, Stefan Crichton, Mychal Givens, Hunter Harvey, David Hess, Jesus Liranzo, JosÃ© Mesa Jr., Yefry Ramirez, Mike Wright Jr., Jimmy Yacabonis and Gabriel Ynoa.

Left-handers
Richard Bleier, Nestor Cortes Jr., Donnie Hart, Chris Lee and Tanner Scott.

Infielder
Engelb Vielma

Outfielders
Jaycob Brugman, Austin Hays, Trey Mancini, Joey Rickard and Anthony Santander.

Catchers
Chance Sisco, Andrew Susac and Austin Wynns.

Santander delivered a two-run single in the fourth inning after Sisco doubled. The Pirates responded with two runs off Bleier in the top of the fifth and JosÃ© Osuna homered off Yacabonis with two outs in the sixth to reduce the lead to 13-5.

Santander is 2-for-3 with three RBIs today and is 12-for-34 (.353) with two home runs and 10 RBIs this spring. Sisco lined to left field, drew a bases-loaded walk and doubled and is 7-for-18 (.389) with three doubles, a home run and five RBIs in Grapefruit League games.

Left-hander Jayson Aquino, given the spot start while Gabriel Ynoa is sidelined with shin splints, allowed two runs and three hits in the first inning and retired the side in order in the second.

"The first inning I was kind of shaken a little bit trying to get all the pitches going," he said via Ramon Martinez, serving again today as translator. "In the second inning I went back and did much better."

The endless supply of runs was appreciated, even in a spring training game.

"It's great to have support like that," he said. "What you've got to do is keep putting zeros up and I tried to put the team in a good position."

Update: The Orioles got a scoreless ninth from Joely Rodriguez and won 13-5.
