The starting times have been determined for the first three games of the American League Division Series between the Orioles and Tigers.
First pitch for Game 2 on Friday at Camden Yards is set for 12:07 p.m. following the Giants' victory tonight over the Pirates in the National League wild card game. It would have started three hours later if Pittsburgh had been victorious.
Game 1 on Thursday is set for 5:37 p.m., and Game 3 on Sunday at Comerica Park is scheduled for 3:45 p.m.
The times for Game 4 on Monday in Detroit and Game 5 on Wednesday in Baltimore, if necessary, will be announced at a later date.
"We have had, as you all know, experience with starting at strange times," manager Buck Showalter said earlier today. "We've played at 11 a.m., and if anything, that's prepared us. And during the baseball season, sleep is overrated."
So is eating lunch at your desk. May as well grab a bite at the ballpark on Friday and take in Game 2.
Ballpark gates will open two hours prior to the first pitch, the same setup as the other games, and parking lots will open four hours beforehand.
Kevin Gausman, who will work out of the bullpen in the Division Series, is looking forward to the raucous crowds at Camden Yards.
"That's the way it's going to be here. It's going to be crazy," he said. "There's going to be boos, there's going to be cheers, and it's going to be anything in between. I think it's going to be crazy. It's just going to be nuts and I'm so excited to see it.
"It's cool for me because I got drafted in 2012. It was cool when I was in (instructional league), the postseason was just starting and we had the wild card in Texas and stuff, so it was cool for me to kind of watch my team - but not my team, you know? - my organization have a good year.
"It was cool, but now it's even cooler to be part of it."
Center fielder Adam Jones remembers how loud it got in 2012. What's it going to be like this fall?
"Louder than two years ago," he said. "A lot louder."
