Orioles holding tryouts for ballgirls and ballboys

Here's a quick glove story for you: The Orioles will conduct an open tryout to find ballgirls and ballboys for the 2013 season on Saturday, March 9 at Camden Yards. The judges will include members of the Orioles' front office, MASN broadcaster Jim Hunter and former Orioles catcher Chris Hoiles, as well as Reagan Warfield of MIX 106.5 and Greg Carpenter of LITE 101.9. My biggest fear in life has always been allowing a ground ball to scoot through my legs while Warfield and Carpenter are watching me. Anyway, the Orioles say outgoing and athletic men and women 18 and older who are interested in serving as ballboys and ballgirls during the upcoming season are invited to try out for a position at Camden Yards beginning at noon on March 9. If you're interested, be sure to bring your own glove, dress casually - tuxes and strapless dresses aren't recommended - and use the Home Plate Plaza entrance on the southwest corner of the ballpark. Also, bring your resume if you have one. Complimentary parking will be available in Lot A, which doesn't mean that an attendant will yell, "Way to back into that space!" It's free. In addition to being able to handle a glove and field ground balls, the Orioles say interested candidates should be personable, customer-service oriented and available to work the entire 2013 season. Not just games against the Yankees and Red Sox. And not just during T-shirt giveaways. OK, good luck.
