Jonathan Schoop continues to bat third while battling a slump that's lowered his average to .189. He has 10 hits on the season, but seven of them came in Houston and he's 0-for-13 with seven strikeouts with runners in scoring position.
Tim Beckham has reached base safely in eight straight games and scored six runs.
Schoop is 6-for-31 (.194) with one double, two home runs and 11 strikeouts lifetime against Blue Jays right-hander Marco Estrada. Beckham is 2-for-16 (.125) with eight strikeouts.
Manny Machado is 4-for-28 (.143) with one double and one home run, Chris Davis is 5-for-30 (.167) with three home runs and 10 strikeouts and Pedro Ãlvarez is 5-for-26 (.192) with one double, one home run and 10 strikeouts. But Adam Jones is 9-for-30 (.300) with two doubles and two home runs.
Orioles starters have received 20 runs of support this season, tied for sixth-least in the majors and third-fewest in the American League.
Down on the farm, Single-A Delmarva won again today and is off to the first 7-0 start in the 23-year history of the franchise. Michael Baumann allowed one run and three hits and struck out nine over six innings in a 5-1 win over Hickory.

Update: The Orioles optioned Hunter Harvey to Double-A Bowie and recalled infielder Engelb Vielma from Triple-A Norfolk.
The Orioles are back to a four-man bench.
Also, Mark Trumbo is in the clubhouse and not with Bowie after playing last night.
