The Orioles began their roster expansion today by recalling catcher Caleb Joseph, right-hander Tyler Wilson and left-hander Jayson Aquino from Triple-A Norfolk.
Outfielders Drew Stubbs and Michael Bourn have reported to the Orioles and also will be available for tonight's series opener against the Yankees.
Joseph, 30, has batted .193/.240/.211 (22-for-114) with two doubles and six runs scored over 40 games with the Orioles this season. He's still looking for his first RBI.
Joseph hit .250/.286/.250 (10-for-40) with four RBIs in nine games with Norfolk.
Wilson, 26, has gone 4-6 with a 5.38 ERA (54 ER/90.1 IP) and 52 strikeouts over 20 games (13 starts) with the Orioles. He was 2-0 with a 4.56 ERA in six starts with Norfolk.
Aquino, 23, registered a 3.72 ERA between Double-A Bowie (20 games, 19 starts) and Norfolk (five games) this season. He was named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week from May 30-June 5, going 2-0 over 15 scoreless innings in two starts.
Aquino made his major league debut on July 4 at Dodger Stadium and retired both batters he faced. He's wearing No. 64.
Bourn is wearing No. 1 and Stubbs is wearing No. 18.
Reliever Tommy Hunter has reclaimed his No. 29.
