Orioles recall right-handers Evan Meek and Kevin Gausman and select contract of left-hander Joe Saunders; Infielder Kelly Johnson reports to club

The Orioles today announced that they have recalled right-hander Evan Meek from Triple-A Norfolk and right-hander Kevin Gausman from the GCL Orioles and selected the contract of left-hander Joe Saunders from the Tides. Additionally, infielder Kelly Johnson has reported to the club. Meek, 31, went 2-0 with 16 saves and a 1.94 ERA (41.2IP, 9ER) in 39 games for the Tides this season, striking out 37 and walking four. He has also appeared in 15 games for the Orioles this season. Gausman, 23, is 7-6 with a 3.84 ERA (82.0IP, 35ER) in 15 starts for the Orioles this season. He is scheduled to start this afternoon's game against Minnesota. Saunders, 33, posted a 1.50 ERA (12.0IP, 2ER) in 10 appearances for the Tides, holding left-handed hitters to a .211/.286/.316 line (4-for-19). He made eight starts for Texas earlier this season. Saunders will wear #51. Johnson, 32, was acquired from Boston on Saturday. He will wear #14.
