Orioles to host Baltimore City high school baseball championship game this Saturday at Oriole Park

The Orioles today announced that they will host the Baltimore City High School Baseball Championship game between the Academy for College and Career Exploration (12-1) and Digital Harbor High School (11-1) on Saturday, May 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Both schools finished the regular season with the two best records among Baltimore City high schools, and the winner will be crowned the 2015 Baltimore City High School Champion.

Pre-game ceremonies will consist of team introductions, while Jermaine Johnson from Vanguard Collegiate Middle School will perform the national anthem and the color guard will be presented by Carver Vocational Technical High School ROTC. Chief Executive Officer of Baltimore City Schools, Dr. Gregory Thornton, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

The game is open to the public free of charge and general parking will be provided in Lot B/C. Ballpark gates will open at noon.
