Orioles unveil additional 60th anniversary interactive elements for fans

In celebration of their 60th Anniversary season, the Orioles are offering fans several opportunities to share their memories of six decades of Orioles baseball and participate in year-long contests for a chance to win a variety of prizes.

* #OsInstaMemories Project: A season-long endeavor, the #OsInstaMemories Project will compile Orioles-related photographs in a variety of categories, including this month's theme, "Ballpark Experience." Fans are encouraged to submit their best photo in each designated category on Instagram using #OsInstaMemories. The Orioles will select winners to be featured in a gallery on www.orioles.com/60 and a chance to have their photo featured in a printed mosaic given away at Oriole Park during the 2014 season.

* My Orioles Magic Moment video contest: Each month, the Orioles will post a video moment featuring an important event in team history, and fans are invited to film their own reenactment, then upload the video at www.orioles.com/60. Fans are also encouraged to share their My Orioles Magic Moment with friends on social media using the hashtag #MyOsMagic.

One winning video will be chosen for each moment (nine winners total), and each winner will receive a prize package featuring four lower level tickets to an Orioles home game and an official 60th Anniversary baseball autographed by an Orioles player. The winner's video will also be featured on the anniversary site and promoted throughout the Orioles' social media platforms.

Currently, the featured moment is Eddie Murray's 500th home run. Previous moments have included Doug DeCinces' home run giving birth to Orioles Magic; Cal Ripken's consecutive game played #2131; and Brooks Robinson's backhanded play to rob Lee May in the 1970 World Series.

* Virtual Oriole: Fans can select an iconic image from Orioles history and place it in their own photos for a customized and sharable picture. The first image released, Brooks Robinson's celebration leap from the 1966 World Series, has been placed at weddings, birthdays, and even on the moon. The latest featured image, revealed today, is of Earl Weaver in his well-known stance, having an animated discussion with an umpire.

The photos are featured in a gallery on www.orioles.com/60 and fans are encouraged to share their images on social media.

Launched in January, www.orioles.com/60 is a page dedicated to celebrating the Orioles' storied 60-year history in Baltimore. In addition to the interactive elements and contests, included on the page are complete team media guides from 1954-2013; the club's all-time player roster; 60th anniversary gear; and more. Fans are encouraged to visit the site often as new elements will be added throughout the year.
