The Orioles will play an exhibition game against the Phillies on April 1 at Citizens Bank Park. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
Their final Grapefruit League game is March 31 against the Braves in Sarasota, Fla. They will squeeze in the exhibition against the Phillies, a day off and a workout at Camden Yards before opening the 2016 season on April 4 against the Twins in Baltimore.
Rumors swirled that the Orioles would play their Triple-A affiliate in Norfolk after breaking camp, but that isn't happening if they're going to Philadelphia. One official suggested late in the season that it would happen before the workout.
The Orioles also will play the Phillies on March 9 in Clearwater, Fla., March 14 in Sarasota and March 28 in Clearwater. They won't meet during the regular season, perhaps because they figure to be sick of each other.
The teams played a home-and-home series this year, with the Orioles sweeping a two-game set at Camden Yards on June 15-16 and splitting two games at Citizens Bank Park on June 17-18.
The Orioles outscored the Phillies 30-9 in the four games.
