SARASOTA, Fla. - The Orioles are performing some early drills on the Ed Smith Stadium field before taking batting practice.

Ubaldo Jimenez is starting today's home opener. Didn't he make most of his starts on the road last spring?

Miguel Gonzalez opposes the Rays' Erasmo Ramirez Thursday afternoon in Port Charlotte. Vance Worley opposes the Blue Jays' J.A. Happ Friday afternoon in Dunedin.

The Orioles aren't listing their starters for Saturday's split-squad games, but Kevin Gausman is expected to oppose the Rays' Drew Smyly at 7:05 p.m. in Sarasota. Tyler Wilson may start against the Twins at 1:05 p.m. in Fort Myers.

It's no surprise that former Oriole Nick Markakis stayed back today in Lake Buena Vista. He may not own a gray pair of pants.
