Post-game notes: Jays rally and O's fall to 1-5

This could have gone better: The Orioles were outscored 15-8 and swept three straight by Toronto. The Orioles are 1-5, their worst start since beginning 1-5 in 2002. They have been outscored 27-19 this year. The Orioles scored just two runs on 15 hits in the series final two games. They have scored just 19 runs with a team batting average of .236 on the season. They have scored three runs or less in four of six games. The club's slugging percentage to date is just .374. The Orioles went 0 for 6 with runners in scoring position when they were shutout Saturday and were just 1 for 8 today. After going 1-8 in Baltimore last season, the Blue Jays are now 3-0 at the Yard. The Blue Jays now lead the all-time series, 251-222. Walk this way: Nick Markakis drew a walk in the first inning today. That was his 9th of the year moving him past Colby Rasmus of St. Louis to take the Major League lead. But he went 0 for 3 and his average dropped to .167. He went just 1 for 8 in the series. Adam Jones had a single and triple in four at bats, snapping a stretch where he was 0 for 13 over his previous three games. Matt Wieters had two singles today, his fourth two-hit game this year. He is batting .409. Miguel Tejada's error in the 8th inning today was the Orioles first of the year. They began the day as one of just two clubs in the Majors (along with Minnesota) that did not have an error in 2010. In the series, Tejada went 5 for 13 with a homer and 5 RBI.
