Post-game Notes: Roberts, Reimold lead O's to win

A B-Rob blast - Brian Roberts turned a 1-1 tie into a 5-1 Orioles lead when he hit a Grand Slam off Lance Cormier in the 6th inning. Cormier had just entered the game in relief of starter James Shields. It was Roberts' fourth career Grand Slam and first in over five years. Challenging the East bullies - With this win, the O's are 11-11 on the year combined vs. Tampa and Toronto, but are just 5-20 vs. NY and Boston for an AL East mark of 16-31. The O's are just 4-20 on the year in AL East road games. Nolan Reimold's three-run homer in the 7th was his 11th homer of the year and his fourth, three-run shot. It was his first homer since July 31 vs. Boston. Reimold entered this game with just one homer over his last 41 games. Reimold now has a seven-game hitting streak and is batting .298-2-13 since the All-Star break. Kam can - Kam Mickolio pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings in the game. In this series he worked 3 2/3, allowing just one hit and no runs with six strikeouts. Jim Johnson got the final four outs for his 5th save. Micheal Aubrey, making his first O's start, went 1 for 5 with a double in the 9th inning. The win snapped Baltimore's five-game losing streak. The O's won for just the 3rd time in 12 games and improved to 9-24 since the All-Star break. The O's improved to 13-16 in one-run games, but are just 2-7 over their last nine, one-run decisions. Ben Zobrist hit a three-run homer for Tampa tonight. O's pitchers allowed seven homers in this series and have given up 13 in the last five games and 38 over the last 23 contests.
