Nationals infielder Anthony Rendon, who is on the 15-day disabled list with an oblique injury, went 1-for-4 with a double in his third straight rehab start for Double-A Harrisburg. He was the designated hitter in the Senators' 6-4 loss at Bowie. No word on when Rendon will return to Nationals, who are home through June 7.
It appears Rendon will be getting a few more rehab games so he can really "square up the ball" and get his timing back, according to Nats manager Matt Williams on the Nationals Radio Network pregame show on Sunday. Williams wanted Rendon to only bat Sunday instead of playing defense to put less stress on the oblique. Rendon is batting .235 in six rehab games dating to the three games he played in late April and early May for Harrisburg.
Double-A San Antonio Missions shortstop Trea Turner's 16-game hit streak ended yesterday after an 0-for-4. But Turner still has a slash line of .333/.405/.508. When he reached the one-year anniversary of the contract he signed after being drafted by the Padres last year, Turner is eligible to be transferred to the Nationals to finally complete the three-team trade that sent outfielder Steven Souza Jr. to the Rays, Wil Myers to the Padres, and Turner (as a player to be named) and Joe Ross to the Nationals.
Turner will most likely be sent to Double-A Harrisburg since he is at Double-A San Antonio and has played so well. This will happen within the next two weeks.
Here are some Twitter updates on Turner this past month:
another interesting stat...@treavturner is hitting .352 BEHIND in the count this year. Not easy to do that

Oh boy, @treavturner does it with the glove on a diving stop up the middle for a 6-3 to end the 7th. 5-4 @ARTravs on top

Turner leads the Missions in batting average, hits, doubles, home runs, RBIs, total bases, slugging percentage and OPS. His 59 hits are second in the Texas League and his 90 total bases are good for third.
Right-hander Lucas Giolito starts tonight for high Single-A Potomac as the P-Nats host Myrtle Beach at 7:05 p.m. Giolito is searching for his second Carolina League win.
Nick Pivetta allowed six runs on 10 hits over 4 1/3 innings in a 7-2 loss to the Pelicans Sunday. He falls to 3-4 but his ERA is still 2.28.
