Reynolds homers twice tonight (O's take lead)

Mark Reynolds simply will not let Adam Jones stay tied with him for the team RBI lead. Reynolds has produced his 10th career multi-homer game tonight. He followed a 392-foot solo shot to right-center field in the fifth inning with a 421-foot two-run bomb to center in the sixth that gave the Orioles a 4-3 lead against Rays southpaw David Price. Reynolds wouldn't know a cheap home run if it invited him to dinner and skipped out on the check (I'm pretty sure that makes sense). Every ball he hits produces wings and shows a movie. The night began with Reynolds and Jones sharing the RBI lead with 32. Reynolds moved ahead in the fifth with his leadoff homer, but Jones tied him again later in the inning with a run-scoring double. That didn't last long. Reynolds has taken the lead with 35, and the Orioles have taken a one-run lead over the Rays that the bullpen will try to preserve. Jim Johnson has replaced Jeremy Guthrie, who allowed three runs and eight hits, with two walks and two strikeouts, in six innings. He threw 94 pitches, 63 for strikes. Ben Zobrist led off the top of the seventh with a double and scored with two outs on an infield hit by Casey Kotchman and second baseman Robert Andino's throwing error. Andino made a great stop up the middle, but his leaping throw handcuffed first baseman Brandon Snyder, who couldn't play the bounce. I'm not saying it's a routine play, but Snyder needs to field that ball, and I'm sure he would agree. The run off Johnson is unearned. Update II: Brandon Snyder drew a two-out walk off reliever Joel Peralta with the bases loaded in the eighth inning to score pinch-runner Felix Pie and give the Orioles a 5-4 lead. Snyder got ahead, 3-0, took a strike and fouled off two pitches before collecting his fourth career RBI in the majors. Matt Wieters singled with one out for his third hit of the night. Pinch-hitter Luke Scott singled off the out-of-town scoreboard, Mark Reynolds struck out looking and Robert Andino walked to set up Snyder's seven-pitch at-bat. Here comes closer Kevin Gregg.
