Moments ago Brian Roberts talked about the O's likely signing of Miguel Tejada.
"I love Miggy, I'm excited. We're excited to have him back if that's the case. We're looking forward to what he brings to the team on and off the field. His personality in the clubhouse and the numbers he puts up."
He was asked about Tejada adapting to a move to third base.
"If you played shortstop for ten years in the big leagues, you can adapt. Certainly it's not going to be easy. It won't happen overnight, but he has the ability and arm strength."
Roberts said Andy MacPhail called him to ask Brian about Tejada.
"Mr. MacPhail did his research and found out that guys loved being around him. His personality is contagious and he is fun to play with. I've never heard anyone who ever played with him that didn't like him."
Roberts said teammate Cla Meredith, at his first O's FanFest, remarked at how big the turnout is today.
"It's a great turnout. Every year we've had it here it's been great. Our guys are getting to see how passionate the fans are about our team."
On another front, pitcher Dennis Sarfate says he is 100 percent after the circulation issues that sidelined him last year. He said he was throwing in the mid 90's in the Mexican Winter League.
