Some stats and notes as the O's go for a Fenway sweep

If it seems like the Orioles have gotten a lot of clutch hits in Boston this year, that is the case. They are batting just .258 as a team there but have scored 46 runs at Fenway in 2012 with a batting average of .371 when hitting with runners in scoring position. They also have 29 extra-base hits in the eight games in Boston with 17 doubles, three triples and nine homers. According to the O's media guide, the club has won eight games at Fenway in one season just twice, going 8-3 in 1960 and 8-1 in 1966. By the way, the Orioles are a combined 13-4 (.765) at New York and Boston in 2012. Mark Reynolds is now batting .400 (16-for-40) in 11 games against the Red Sox on the year with four doubles, six homers, 16 RBIs and an OPS of 1.450. Three of the last four and four of the last nine O's games have gone extra innings as they have won in 14, 18, 11 and 12 innings.
