The Orioles have trailed 3-0, 6-0 and 5-0 the past three games.
They've won two and just tied this one, 5-5, in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Matt Wieters' two-out single brought in the fourth and fifth runs, but there were plenty of key at-bats before he stepped to the plate.
Corey Patterson doubled to put runners on second and third with no outs, and Miguel Tejada followed with an RBI single. Both hits went to the opposite field, as Nats starter Livan Hernandez kept working the outer half of the plate.
Nick Markakis also had a run-scoring single, but Hernandez retired the next two batters and looked like he'd take a 5-3 lead into the dugout. Wieters ruined those plans.
The Orioles' bats continue to sizzle, producing 10 hits through five innings. And Brad Bergesen is off the hook.
Update: The Orioles won last night on a walk-off error. Today, they took the lead in the seventh on a wild pitch that scored Luke Scott.
Whatever works.
Mark Hendrickson turned in two scoreless innings after shutting out the Nats over 1 2/3 innings last night.
