On one hand, the regular season feels like it ended ages ago; and on the other, it feels like October baseball has flown by...which has it felt like for you?
But in the meantime, if you have kids, you're also probably gearing up for another reason to sport the orange and black - Halloween.
And this year, Major League Baseball is helping you combine two of your favorite October traditions by hosting the World Series of Costumes competition.
Click here to visit MLB.com/Halloween to upload photos of your kids in their best Halloween costumes for the chance to have your child's photo shown during Game 3 of the World Series.
You'll have until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on October 29, 2010 to fill out the entry form and upload your child's photo in one of the following formats: .jpg, .gif or .png. Also note that files cannot exceed 5 megabytes (5MB) in total file size; and parents or legal guardians must be at least 18 years of age to enter, and their children must be 12 years of age or younger.
A panel of judges chosen by MLB will then evaluate the entries based on the following criteria: "Originality (30%), creativity (30%), display of Halloween and/or MLB spirit (30%), and public appeal as determined by the Public Vote (10%)."
Therefore, a fraction of your child's chance to win depends on the Public Vote, which is now open; so once you've uploaded your child's photo, make sure you and your family and friends cast their ballots for your young ones!
A total of nine prizes will be awarded, but only three winning photos will be revealed during Game 3 of the World Series on FOX, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time on October 30, 2010.
In addition to having their photos displayed during Game 3 of the World Series, each of the three Grand Prize winners will receive a youth replica jersey of the MLB team of their choice.
Six Runners-Up will receive a baseball cap of the MLB team of their choice and will have their photos featured on MLB.com.
