Wilson vs. Stroman tonight in Toronto

Having gone 7-3 on their homestand and expanding their division lead, the Orioles are back on the road for a four-game series in Toronto and a three-game set in Boston.

The Orioles are 19-36 against the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre since 2010. They lost six of nine games last season.

The teams played a three-game series back in April at Camden Yards, with the Orioles taking the last two after dropping the opener. Marcus Stroman, on the mound again tonight, held them to three runs over seven innings in the Blue Jays' 4-3 victory.

The Jays currently are in third place in the American League East, trailing the Red Sox by three games and the Orioles by 4 ½ games. Their .234 average ranks last in the American League and 26th in the majors. However, their 78 home runs rank seventh in the majors.

Tyler Wilson is 2-5 with a 4.39 ERA in 17 games (eight starts) this season. He hasn't won since May 11, losing his last four decisions despite two quality starts.

In his most recent start, Wilson allowed five runs and seven hits in four innings in an 8-6 loss to the Yankees.

Wilson is 0-4 with a 5.01 ERA in seven home games this season and 2-1 with a 3.43 ERA in four games on the road. He's made three career appearances (one start) against the Blue Jays, allowing two runs and eight hits in 8 2/3 innings. In his only game in Toronto, he surrendered one run and five hits in 5 2/3 relief innings on June 19, 2015.

The current Jays are 5-for-21 against Wilson. Jose Bautisa is 1-for-2 with a double, RBI and walk.

Stroman is 5-2 with a 4.82 ERA in 12 starts this season. In his last two outings, he's surrendered 13 runs and 20 hits and walked six batters in 11 innings.

Stroman is 2-1 with a 3.24 ERA in four career games (three starts) versus the Orioles. The current group is 10-for-46 (.217) against him.

Adam Jones is 3-for-6, Matt Wieters is 2-for-5 with a home run, Manny Machado is 1-for-6 with a home run and Ryan Flaherty is 1-for-7 with a home run.

Note: Chris Tillman has gone 7-0 with a 2.62 ERA and 64 strikeouts in his last 10 starts. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, he's one of five Orioles pitchers to go 7-0 or better with 60 or more strikeouts in 10 starts. Pat Dobson (1971), Jim Palmer (1972, 1973), Mike Mussina (1997) and Erik Bedard (2007) are the others.
