Winter numbers for Tatusko, Davis, McCoy, Walters, Rivero and others

Right-hander Ryan Tatusko has had a pretty good run with Leones de Ponce in the Puerto Rico Professional Baseball League. Tatusko has made five starts since Nov. 8, going 0-2 with a 1.54 ERA, allowing just four earned runs with 21 strikeouts, nine walks and no home runs allowed in 23 1/3 innings. He has given up only a .212 batting average against. Tatusko was 4-5 with a 3.50 ERA in 27 games this summer for Double-A Harrisburg. He also saw this grazing in the player's parking lot at a recent game. Third baseman/shortstop Zach Walters is batting .228 in 16 games for Ponce, with 13 hits, six doubles and six RBIs. He put together four doubles in a four game span last week, from November 25-28, including three doubles in two games on the same date (Nov. 25 vs. Manati). Meanwhile, right-hander Erik Davis did not allow an earned run in his last 10 appearances for Gigantes in the Dominican Republic. Left-hander Patrick McCoy equaled that with a 1-0 record and 0.00 ERA in his last 10 games for Gigantes. Eury Perez hit .182 for Escogido in the Dominican, and .226 his last 10 games. Third baseman Carlos Rivero had the best winter, hitting .293 in 42 games for Leones del Caracas in Venezuela, with 10 doubles, nine homers and 29 RBIs. Catcher Sandy Leon hit .222 in 22 games for Aguilas, with one homer and six RBIs. Second baseman Adrian Sanchez hit an impressive .375 in eight games also for Aguilas, with six hits, a double and RBI.
