Yard Work: Episode 2

Hey, O's fans! Welcome to the latest episode of Yard Work. In this week's episode ...

The Birds are off to another hot start to the season, posting an 8-3 mark heading into their three-game series in Cincinnati. That record is tops in the majors, and looks like a good omen to open the year. What's been the biggest key for the Orioles so far? Steve Melewski and I will discuss.

It was a heavy news week off the diamond, as closer Zach Britton was placed on the disabled list with a strain in his left forearm. Britton is one of the game's top relievers, and is in the midst of a 54-consecutive save streak. What does his absence mean for the bullpen and who will work the ninth innings for the time being?

And while Britton heads to the DL, starter Chris Tillman is on the road to recovery. The Orioles ace was set to pitch in Bowie on Monday. So what were his expectations?

Finally, the Birds' first road trip of the year saw a few bats heat up. Trey Mancini, Jonathan Schoop and J.J. Hardy seem to be settling into regular season form. Does this mean another season of extreme power in the lineup? Steve and I will talk those topics and much more.
