Bergesen and Johnson talk about 6-2 loss

I'll start with Brad Bergesen:

"Tonight, I felt like I kept us in the ballgame," he said. "I was facing a tough lineup like that and you know (Jon) Lester, his career against the Orioles, I knew just every pitch mattered tonight. I think the biggest thing for me was the sixth inning, getting in that jam and being able to get out of it. It was huge for me. I was very fortunate to be able to get those strikeouts and get out of that jam. "Tonight felt good. You never like to give up that second run early on, and that's kind of been a bad part of my game the few starts I've had this year, giving up the few runs early on. But I was able to put up some zeros and keep us in it." Adrian Gonzalez drove in both runs against Bergesen. "He's hitting 1.000 off me now," Bergesen said. "This is the first time I've faced him. I gave up three base hits and he seemed like he was all over it tonight. He was real tough for me tonight." Jim Johnson was charged with two runs and two hits, with one walk and one strikeout, in one inning. He was removed after walking Kevin Youkilis to open the eighth and eventually took the loss. Carl Crawford greeted him with a double in the seventh and later scored the go-ahead run. "It wasn't that bad of a pitch," Johnson said. "He hit it pretty good. I felt like I made the pitches I needed to. We got a break with the bunt and then they caught a break with the swinging bunt, so it just kind of evened itself out. Obviously, you don't want to start off with a leadoff double. And then the second inning, walking Youkilis on four is not the way you want to start an inning. So it's a little frustrating, but that's why you play a lot of games."
